Hazelden Publishing’s Morning Light / Night Light app brings together two popular meditation books to provide double the support for individuals in addiction recovery. This app offers two inspirational readings each day: one to start your day positively and brightly, and another to help you calm and center yourself at day's end. It includes a total of 732 readings, providing two for each day of the year, with no need for subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Every reading focuses on a specific topic and concludes with a simple prayer or affirmation. The topics covered range from self-esteem and relationships to independence, fear, health, making mistakes, gratitude, and many others. Author Amy E. Dean gently reminds us of the various tools available to support our recovery, such as the Twelve Steps, sponsors, slogans, our Higher Power, prayer, and meditation. Additionally, the app includes helpful reference lists of the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
Upon opening the app each day, it automatically presents that day's reading. You can also select a specific time for a daily notification to remind you to read, reflect, and meditate on that day's reading and your recovery journey. The app is readily available whenever you need to refocus on your sobriety.
